Getting Started:  Beginning a  FirstSearch Session

There are 2 ways to begin a FirstSearch Session:

1. Follow a link to the FirstSearch Home Page.
2. Follow a link to a specific FirstSearch database.
   

1.  Following a link to the FirstSearch Home Page.

Click on a link to the FirstSearch Home Page
NOTE:  The FirstSearch link on your Library's page might look different. 

This is the FirstSearch Home Page.
Now we need to choose a Database Area.  For example:  Medicine & Health Sciences.

This is the Database Area for Medicine & Health Sciences. 
We'll take a look at the CINAHL database as our example.

Here is the CINAHL page.

2.   Following a link to a specific FirstSearch database.

Click on a link to a specific FirstSearch Database. 
Remember:  the links in your Library may look different.

That link would lead us directly to CINAHL's database page.

Next we'll see a Simple Search.
