Hyperlink Searching:  A Way to Find Similar Results

Some FirstSearch databases allow you to use Hyperlink Searching.

Once you find a Record that interests you, Hyperlink Searching will let you find more Records that match.

Let's use the CINAHL database as our example.
Here is one of the Full Records from our search of "nursing and ethics."
Notice that the Subject Headings of the Record are highlighted Hyperlinks.

Hyperlinks

We can click on one of the Subject Headings Hyperlinks to search for Records about that Subject.

If we decide we really want articles about the Standards of the American Nursing Association,
clicking that Hyperlink will search that Subject and retrieve Records about it.

Choosing a Hyperlink Search

Then FirstSearch would retrieve Records that have "American Nurses Association--Standards"
as a Subject Heading.  That would give us a very focused list of Results.
