One of the most important things to remember about searching for titles is to leave out the articles A , AN and THE when they appear at the beginning of a title.
For Example:
OR
![]()
What if I'm not sure what the whole title is?
If you are unsure of a title and a search results in no matches, try shortening the title.
For example, a student recalls seeing a book about job-hunting with a title that starts with "What color is your ____?" By typing:
| What color is your |
the complete title, What Color is Your Parachute: A Practical Manual for Job-Hunters & Career Changers, would be retrieved. This search will only work if the remembered words are at the BEGINNING of the title.
If the remembered words are somewhere else in the title (for instance, the student remembers the title has the words CAREER and PARACHUTE in it), you'll have to do a Keyword search. We'll explain how to do this a little later.
