You can access the WebPAC from your library's homepage by clicking on the Library Catalog link. The following examples are from Northern Virginia Community College's WebPAC. The version of WebPAC in your library may look a little different.

The sample screens will show you how to proceed with your searches so that on future pages you will be able to do the exercise on the answer sheet. The screens are simulations of real pages, you cannot open the catalog from them. Remember the steps on this page so you can do the searches on your own a little later.

Selecting the Catalog

Your library web page has several information resources listed. Most libraries list the catalog at the top of the page since it is a critical resource for students and faculty.

Look at the sample NVCC Library web page below. On the left side of the sample page, you would click on Library Catalog to open the catalog and begin your search for books, videos and other media.
